Here comes the bride...(or the ringbearer)

Well, it is almost time for Owen to be the "ring bear" as he calls himself. I can't wait to see how this goes-will Maggie and Owen fight all the way down the aisle? Will he be shy? Dancing all the way? I can't explain why I am so excited to have him be in a wedding-I have always wanted both my kids to be in a wedding. Funny enough, Autumn was also a ringbearer. Yup, Owen was supposed to be the ringbearer in Toby and Kristin's wedding, but the church said he was too young. So Autumn (who was first a flower girl with Jade) carried the "ring box"...the girls looked so cute!! Here is my "man" getting fitted for his first tux. Oh, mom is trying not to cry...

Cyndi came to visit me..

One of my best friends came up here to see me last week-I hadn't seen her in three years! She is looking great and we had so much fun! We went to Hidden Beach, Psycho Suzi's and Smitten Kitten-all great places for girls to be women! Sometimes it is fun to just do the Grrrlll thing.

Just an update..

Not too much to report here-things are going well. We had a scare yesterday though, when our darling son said he had changed his mind about being a ring-bearer for my cousin's wedding. *GASP*...He changed it back though when I explained about the present and party afterward.
Oh kids!!

Back at it!

We are back from our little vacation, and what a wonderful time we had! We took the kids tubing out on the lake, slept under the stars and hiked to a great little beach. Hurray for camping!

Now it is time to start getting ready for the MN Cricut SWARM! What is a SWARM you may ask? It is a gathering of scrapbookers who use, or are interested in using the Cricut machine. Lots of packing to do-I wish I could take my whole scrapbook room! Here is a picture I can't wait to scrap-our Mayday parade in Minneapolis, MN. What a beautiful day filled with art, friends and lots of memories.

Cards for Sale...

This card was created with a preteen/teenage guy in mind. There is such a shortage of boy cards out there-I aim to change that. This card features stars, sliver and black inking, and a matching envelope.

A Colorful Summer Layout!

This layout was done with double and triple matting, some fun chipboard accents and a vellum square with a saying about children. The square is anchored with four bronze brads. This layout can be created for you!

What a pair!

Here we are at Bunker Beach last summer..this page has ice cream cones from Indie Art, ribbon, stickles and double matting.

Getting Ready for the SWARM

What is a SWARM you may ask? A SWARM is a gathering of 2 or more people who use the Cricut machine while scrapbooking. Could I scrap without my Cricut? Probably. Do I want to? No. Sean got me this machine for Christmas 2006 and I have never looked back. It won product of the year in 2006 and is to scrapbooking what tennis shoes are to Grandma's Marathon. Yeah, you could run without shoes, but would you want to?

So I am doing an overnight scrapbook event in July...July promises to be a busy month.

St. Croix in July

This is one of my fave pics of all time...when I was dreaming MN dreams in Arizona,
this is what I thought of.

Freedom to do what they'd like

Here are all the little darlings from Christmas Eve...from left to right: Maggie, Lindsay, Sam, Margaux, Irelynnd, Autumn, Owen and Preston! After taking a few "nice" pics, I always let the kids do what they want. You get some great results!

A little update

The clock is ticking away here at work...I stayed up too late last night, but I really want to get this customer's order right. She ordered 4 pages and they are looking very nice! (If I do say so myself!)

We are gearing up for the family vacation this July...we are planning on going to Mount Rushmore. Not sure exactly when...if there are any takers to watch Henry, please let us know! After the canoe debacle last year, he doesn't get to camp anymore!

Owen and Autumn are fuming today-today is room cleaning day. Bummer.

Trying to balance both worlds

So Owen comes in and wants to scrap-I don't have the heart to say "no". I haven't seen him all day and I want to encourage him in creativity. 20 min later, my scraproom looks like an explosion in a paper factory. Plus, he is really into stamping now, wants his own set of Studio G from Michaels.

Ye Gods....

Anyway, thanks for checking out the new blog-seems like everyone is blogging these days. Well, we have to let off steam somehow!

Please remember to check out my listings on Craig's List for custom made scrapbook pages...I will do 12x12 or 8x8 in any theme you'd like. Contact me for an order form!

Bye,
Kendra
